All items purchased from this website or sent to us for buyback are made pursuant to a shipment contract. You assume the risk of loss and title for such items once they are delivered to the carrier. Textbook Recycling does not provide insurance for items purchased or sent to us for buyback via our website. Resolution of Disputes

By visiting and using services provided by textbookrecycling.com, you agree that the laws of the state of Idaho shall govern these Terms and Conditions of Use and any dispute that may arise between you and Textbook Recycling and its partners or affiliates.

Should any dispute arise between you and Textbook Recycling, we encourage you to first seek resolution by contacting us by e-mail or phone using the contact information on the Contact Us page on the website to inform us of your complaint. Any unresolved disputes relating to your use of the website, products purchased, or services associated with the website shall be subject to binding and confidential arbitration to be conducted pursuant to the Commercial Rules of the American Arbitration Association then in effect. In such cases, you or Textbook Recycling may elect to resolve the dispute through binding arbitration conducted by telephone, on-line or based solely upon written submission where no in-person appearance is required.  Judgment on the award rendered by the arbiter(s) may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.

To the extent that the intellectual property rights or trademarks of Textbook Recycling have been violated or threatened, the company may seek injunctive or other appropriate relief in any state or federal court in the state of Idaho, and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in such courts.

The company may modify, suspend, or eliminate any portion or all of this website, including the availability of any features, content, or databases at any time, for any reason without prior notice or liability.

Sending Books That Require CD-Roms, DVDs, or Other

Accessories If your book originally included a CD-Rom, DVD, supplemental book or some other accessory, please include this when shipping your book to us. Please note that if you send in a book where the book information on your quote indicates that a supplement should be included, you may receive half or less of the used value of the original quote or no compensation depending on the book. We will not return books that have no value. Please note that any necessary online access codes (e.g., MyMathLab, MyStatLab, MyEconLab, etc) must be valid, unused, and unopened in order to receive payment. The section in black is what needs to be added. This addition also needs to be added to the corresponding "Sell Books 101" section AND general "FAQs" section of the site.

Will you accept books that have highlighting and/or writing in them? How about damaged books? What makes a book "unacceptable"?

Yes, as long as no more than 1/3 of the book contains highlighting or pages without writing. The exception to this rule is that study guides, work books and lab manuals sold to us must have no writing OR highlighting in them for you to receive payment. We also will not accept books that have extreme damage such as having a loose binding, cover partially or entirely torn off, mold damage, stuck pages due to water or other liquids, page aberrations due to moisture or other damage, loose or missing pages, or pages with tape or other foreign materials bound to them. You will not receive payment for any books received by us in unacceptable condition and these will not be returned to you.
